Hi! I'm Kristen, the owner of Sakura Slime Bakery, a Filipino/American, woman-owned small business (of just me and the help of my family :) ) based near San Francisco, California! I've been a part of the slime community since 2017 and have been using slime to relax and to inspire my creativity for just as long!

I decided to turn hobby into business during the Coronavirus pandemic and after my sweet, long-haired chihuahua, Bo, was diagnosed with collapsed trachea. I realized that I could spend more time with him at home if I quit my job and started this business, so I did! We spent every day together, creating precious, happy, exciting, and loving memories that will last a lifetime, and Bo passed away in late April before our business could launch. Bo will always be by my side and in my heart, and you will get to meet him, along with our other babies, Lucy the crazy ginger cat, Roxy the adventurous terrier mix, and Mimi, the mysterious gray neighborhood cat, on our packaging and branding!

Speaking of packaging, after seeing how much unnecessary plastic was being used in the average slime order, I was moved to create an eco-friendly and fun packaging experience out of my love for animals and the beautiful planet. I hope our business can spread environmental awareness and be a good role model to other businesses in the world!

Another inspiration for me is, of course, Japan's sakura, or cherry blossoms, and their pretty, pink, and free-flying flowers! I love travel, food, and international cultures, and make sure to reflect that in our themed slimes and artwork as well!

I continue this company for Bo and the rest of my family, the environment, and also, for the slime community! I hope to spread ideas of happiness, love, relaxation, and acceptance for everyone through our products!
